Hello Friends,
I hope you’re all enjoying the glories of October wherever you are! We wanted to send out a quick update just to say that Amos has his next annual MRI this Friday at Duke Children’s a long with another round of Avastin (chemo). Please join us in praying for safe travels, a clear scan showing no recurrence of cancer, and a good infusion. Since this scan is on a Friday, we likely won’t hear anything until next week. We’ll update here when we have news.
This scan marks the 4-month window since the surgery back in June. We were told to watch for latent effects from the radiation Amos received in this window for the next 10 months or so. So far, we haven’t noticed any changes for Amos that would be radiation-related, or otherwise, praise God. He continues to plug away diligently at school and other activities. Amos is and always has been incredibly diligent and hard-working; something to marvel at given all that he’s had on his plate for most of his life. We thank God for allowing Amos to so willingly accept what each day brings with seeming trust and contentment. May it be so for each of us as well.
Here are some fish pics from a recent fly-fishing trip in our beloved NC mountains arranged by a kind and generous friend. Happy October!
Blessings in Christ,
The Ross Family
Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
He will bring forth your righteousness as the light,
and your justice as the noonday.
