Dear friends and family,
Thank you for your prayers and messages for Amos this morning. There is plenty to say about our trip in general, but we wanted to write at least a brief update to let everyone know that the gamma knife procedure went extremely well.
We arrived at the facility in Newport Beach at 6:30am (PST) this morning. By 8 o’clock the head frame had been placed, and by 8:30 the MRI scan was complete. The actual gamma knife procedure took less than an hour, and when it was finished the team removed the frame immediately. We were back in the car a little after 10am and are now at our hotel again. Amos is on the couch enjoying a snack.
Amos was courageous and did very well. He has two band-aids, some gauze, and an ice pack, but is otherwise in great shape with minimal pain, which is all due to the frame instead of the gamma knife itself.
We’re so thankful that this procedure went so well. It was wonderful to see Dr. Loudon again, who was the doctor who performed Amos’s original neurosurgery in 2015. We are so grateful for him and his wonderful wife, Ruth, who we got to visit yesterday as well.
Today we will rest. More later.
Love,
The Rosses
