A Good Scan

Hey everyone,

Thank you for praying for Amos (and me) over the last forty-eight hours. He had a brain and spine MRI late last night. We stayed in Durham and then this morning he had a vision appointment and a follow-up with neurology to review the scan.

We are very grateful to the Lord that this scan looked good. It’s a relief and a blessing! There was a slightly slower report on this one since there was a very small “enhancement” in the scan in the area where his surgery/ies have been, and that took some time to evaluate. Our neurologist and the radiologist consulted and agree that it is likely nothing to worry about, and is probably a “leaky” blood vessel. So we’ll keep an eye out in the next scan, which will be in January. (Vision also looked good, which is a blessing.)

We are praising the Lord for his kindness to Amos and our family. It’s been a very busy October. Kelli was away at a conference, then we went to the beach with my parents for a week, then Amos and I went on an incredible trip (more on that in another post), and then, we left almost immediately for this batch of appointments. So we are pretty tired. But we are very glad to be home together.

The Lord of hosts is with us;
    the God of Jacob is our fortress. (Ps. 46:11)
