November MRI Trip

Hello Friends,

I’m a little bit late in getting this out but I wanted to let you know and ask for prayer this week as Amos is in California for an MRI and a few other things. Please pray for him today as he has a procedure done to close up his tracheotomy site (the stoma) at 6:45am PST. This should be a very straightforward thing but it does require sedation so prayers are appreciated! Amos has his usual MRI tomorrow at 8am PST followed by eye appointments and a followup for the stoma closure on Wednesday. Lord willing, they will be back home on Thursday.

Please pray for clear scans most importantly but also for general health as we’ve been sharing some colds/minor viruses this past week. We especially need Amos to stay healthy for his appointments and Will also so that he can support Amos and bring him home!

It’s been a very busy month here for us as Will was away in the US at conferences for about 9 days and returned home only to leave again three days later with Amos (rockstar Dad!). We are especially grateful that Gigi was able to come help me out while Will was away and that we were able to celebrate Thanksgiving together (even if it was a bit brief!). The Lord continues to show such mercy and kindness to Amos and our family. We are blessed to look back on this season two years ago when Amos was in the midst of chemotherapy and all of the many challenges that posed for all of us. We are so mindful of the clear and unmerited gift of healing and renewal that the Lord has shown to Amos since those days. May we have the strength to fix our eyes on Jesus especially this week.

Sam decided to take his first solo steps on my birthday and now his brothers are helping him learn the ropes of walking- quite a bit faster than I would have otherwise hoped!

  4. I remember so well when George would go to ETS/SBL when the kids were little. It was very challenging. I hope that once Will and Amos return you will be able to settle into some good rhythms of the season. We did enjoy seeing Will at the conference. Wish you’d been there too! I LOVE the pictures of y’all with Ely Cathedral in the background. That is our favorite cathedral. And England at Christmas is magical😉. Praying!
