Happy New Year and Upcoming Duke Trip

Hello Friends and Family,

We hope 2021 is off to a good start for you and yours! We apologize for not posting about the Christmas toy donations sooner but it was truly so much fun to see your packages roll in. We are so grateful for your generosity!

In true 2020 fashion, the Christmas donations we had for the kids had to wait until after Christmas. In the day or so before we were scheduled to deliver them to the hospital, we became aware of potential exposure to COVID for three or four of us (at school, work, church!). Obviously there are extremely tight rules at the hospital right now, so — after all testing negative — we were only able to them for donation last week. However, dropping the gifts off after Christmas was actually a lot more relaxed and we were able to enjoy a nice chat with the community events director at the hospital. She reminded us how Christmas donations stock their gift room typically for the entire year, so the donations we brought will certainly be put to good use! Additionally, donations have been down this year and so we are truly grateful for your kindness and our ability to share some joy to the children and families who will be in the hospital over the coming months. Thank you!

Looking ahead, we would ask for your prayers this week. Amos and Will are traveling to Duke Children’s Hospital for all of Amos’s routine appointments and the MRI on Wednesday. Please join us in praying for a clear scan that shows no recurrence of cancer. We will update with results as soon as we get them!

The Lord is good and we continue to be grateful for the time we have together and for Amos’s continued health. We pray God’s blessings for each of you this year. Please also feel free to shoot us specific prayer requests or updates! We love hearing from you.

Blessings,

Kelli, Will, Amos, Luke, Sam, and Phoebe

  1. Good to hear from you this morning. I just got home from coffee with Grandma Patty. We for sure will continue our prayers for your family and for Will and Amos on Wednesday. We will be anxious to read the results when you get them. Cute pictures but miss your darling little daughter getting the gifts out of car😀😀😀. Thanks again for update.
