Hospital Toy Delivery!

Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you so much for your amazing generosity!!! It’s been so fun to receive your packages this week and then to deliver them today, along with donations from the boys’ school friends here in Charlotte. We were able to fill two radio-flyer wagons (children’s hospital mainstays!) and then some with your donations, and we are so grateful.

On the way to the hospital we talked with the boys, reminding them of the times we have spent in the hospital on and around Christmas in years past. The long days, the long nights, the hoping, wishing, and waiting for discharge to work its way into view, and the necessary separation that comes to the whole family. Will and I remember so much more than our kids at this point — another reality that makes this tradition special for us to share as a family.

We also prayed with the boys for the families who would receive all of your gifts — that they would not only bring smiles and Christmas cheer, but that the books we’ve chosen would be read and treasured by families who need the comfort that only Christ can bring. We know that the Lord uses many things to draw people to himself, not least of all, children’s books! Please join us in praying for the hope and comfort of the gospel to be spread in this small endeavor. Thank you for joining us in this!!

We give thanks to the Lord that Amos is doing so well — he is truly thriving. We treasure each Christmas, each day, that we have together as a way of remembering His faithfulness and mercy. May the Lord continue to bless Amos with health, and grant healing to those still in the hospital over the next week.

And now some pictures!

Merry Christmas to all! Love in Christ,

The Ross Family

  1. Wonderful to see all those gifts and to see Amos and his brothers all looking so well. Glad you were able to connect with Jonny Jackie, Ben and Zachary recently!

    Many blessings at Christmas!
