Dear Friends and Family,

We are so very thankful to report that Amos’ MRI scan from yesterday shows no changes. There’s no recurrence of cancer and everything looks good! Praise the Lord! We are so very grateful for this gift and for your prayers.

And as if that wasn’t enough…Take a look at this picture….

In case you missed it, there’s something missing that won’t be missed. Amos got his trach out today!!! We are doing all kinds of praising, dancing, singing, and celebrating over here in California! It’s been a long 22 months of that old thing and we are overjoyed to see it go (even while we are thankful for the trach when Amos needed it). Seeing it taken out today was a big surprise, and we are so so thankful to the Lord for his goodness in allowing Amos to no longer need his trach. Wow. We are so thrilled!

We’ll share more details when we are less jet lagged but we wanted to let you know and thank you all so very much for your faithful prayers. What a day!! Please pray for Amos, who told us today that he doesn’t remember not having the trach. Having it removed today has been surprisingly hard for him and he’s been visibly upset and emotionally torn about it. Pray that we can help him understand all that is happening.

“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” – Psalm 126:3

With Love,

Kelli, Will, Amos, Luke, and Samuel

  15. Praising the Lord with you today for this great news! When our Andrew at age 8 finished chemo for leukemia, we threw a party and he pouted during the whole event. His identity was in being a star patient and got lots of attention from family, school teachers and his beloved doctor and nurses. He was sad that it was ending and didn’t know what was ahead. When I asked if he was at least glad to know that leukemia, his bad disease was cured he said, if I die I’ll go to heaven to live with Jesus – what’s bad about that? : )
