Merry Christmas!

Dear Friends and Family,

Our hearts are full today as we remember six months ago today, June 25th, the day of Amos’ first brain surgery. Words cannot describe the joy of seeing Amos and Luke together this morning as we celebrate so many things but especially Jesus’ Birthday. Mary said it best when she says, in Luke’s gospel,

“My soul glorifies the Lord
47     and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
48 for he has been mindful
of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
49     for the Mighty One has done great things for me—
    holy is his name.
50 His mercy extends to those who fear him,
    from generation to generation.
51 He has performed mighty deeds with his arm;
he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
52 He has brought down rulers from their thrones
but has lifted up the humble.
53 He has filled the hungry with good things
but has sent the rich away empty.
54 He has helped his servant Israel,
    remembering to be merciful
55 to Abraham and his descendants forever,
just as he promised our ancestors.”

We want to thank all of you for the many ways that you have stood with us in prayer, sorrow, and thanksgiving this year. Christmas has never held such significance as we’ve seen the weight of the world and the glorious gift of our Savior with new eyes.

Thank you for the cards and gifts from SO many of you. It has been a delight to hear from family, friends, and neighbors and to receive gifts from those far (Cambridge!) and near and even from many whom we have never met before. Your generosity is a testament to the love of Christ.

While we were not able to get Christmas cards out this year, we wanted to share some photos that were taken by Katie, a new friend who was referred to us by a friend from Grove City College, Autumn. Both are fabulous photographers and collaborated to give us the gift of this photo shoot. We are so grateful!

Merry Christmas from Will, Kelli, Amos, and Lucas. May Christ fill your hearts and homes this year and always.
